Cynthia Robinson
Trumpet & Vocals

Cynthia Robinson is an African-American musician, best known for being the trumpeter in the popular and influential psychedelic soul/funk band Sly & the Family Stone. Prior to the formation (1966) of Sly & the Family Stone, Cynthia, along with Sly, was part of "Sly and The Stoners."

Some of her vocals ("Get up, and dance to the music." & "All you squares go home.") are some of the most distinctive and memorable lyrics in all of rock'n' roll.
